With the development of new technologies and the transformation of the workplace, digital e-learning helps companies maintain a competitive advantage. – CXOToday.com | Team Cansler

CXOtoday has an exclusive interview with Mr. Rohit Kumar, Founder and CEO, Chapter Apps.

– How are you keeping your workforce up to date with the new hybrid work schedule?

The broader question is how organizations and employees should behave themselves in this new hybrid workplace. The simple challenges for a manager are knowing and keeping track of when different employees will be in the office and who will be remote. Aligning the team on priorities and results requires face-to-face conversations to make faster progress. Organizations that are successful will focus on effective management and communication norms for what may end up being a primarily remote team. While technology can help, using the tools properly can make a world of difference.

The organizations that prioritize best practices in management and managerial effectiveness in the hybrid workplace will achieve the best results.

– How and why does the traditional learning system in India need to be reinvented?

The traditional education system in India is based on memorization and multiple-choice exams. Every employee in the workplace has this expectation as a method of learning.

However, the most effective performers are those who combine soft skills, product/domain knowledge, and teamwork. While these aspects are addressed at the managerial level in various classroom-based learning interventions, the HR and training teams rely on the blended learning model. As soon as the focus in each of these areas is placed on the holistic development of all employees in just one course, this will work wonders for the efficiency of the organization.

– How does eLearning help companies maintain a competitive edge with the changing technologies?

Just three years ago, compliance courses were the primary e-learning courses used by companies. The pandemic forced everyone to find innovative ways to engage and train employees. The organizations that managed to grow and improve performance, retain employees and reduce turnover were the ones that were able to adapt to the new model.

The introduction of new working methods, new productivity applications and their effective use require communication. E-learning can help with this. Being able to have all the information in the palm of your hand also increases productivity – when an employee finds what they are looking for quickly, they deliver better results.

Most important is increasing the productivity of field workers. This directly affects the top line and the bottom line. And better financial performance is what every business is working towards!

– What solutions do Chapter Apps offer to close the gap?

Chapter Apps offers a comprehensive learning and training solution for large and medium-sized companies. The suite is designed for classroom/blended learning and self-directed online learning.

The difference in the solution compared to other platforms was that a single window was maintained for both learners and instructors/administrators. The focus was on simplifying the user experience so that a learner can see the details of their classroom training, read the course material and answer the feedback survey, all in one application.

For the administrator, the key aspect is the flexibility to set up different training programs with separate pedagogical aspects, especially in relation to programs that require reading, coaching and follow-up submissions as part of a comprehensive training program.

To make all of this work, we offer a flexible approach to building a system to manage the entire training lifecycle for organizations. Coupled with world-class support, we meet all of our customers’ needs for a successful implementation of learning programs.

– What does the future of eLearning look like?

eLearning is here to stay! The rapid adoption of digital learning has resulted in 100% coverage in many organizations for the first time, as many use cases in organizations have helped increase the importance of digital programs as part of the overall learning and development budget.

There will be many more blended learning programs adopted by organizations in the next three years. This will allow companies to onboard more employees along with an instructor-led model, leading to an improvement in training effectiveness.

The company wins by upskilling its workforce to keep up with the pace of change, and employees win by acquiring new skills to keep them employed now and in the future.

E-learning is becoming a more strategic part of any learning and development organization around the world.
